Vladimir Horunzhy: cartoons are the most mysterious secrets of Hollywood

A creation of every single cartoon film requires a huge amount of people’s efforts over three to five years. In case of a cartoon show, it may take even more years to be completed. Nevertheless, when everything is done successfully and a film or pilot episode is on the screens, its life will last as long as the millions of fans will remember and admire of this picture. “I was lucky to work in animation together with such a great persons as Igor Kovalev and Timur Bekmambetov,” – Vladimir writes on his Facebook page. Igor Kovalev is an animation director and an artist with his own original style, which has made him famous in the animation world. At the invitation of Timur Bekmambetov, Igor got involved in the TV series “Alica Knows What To Do”. As always, the pilot-first episode is the most important one, because it is submitted to the sales agents as a qualitative example of the whole show. Our team from the inQ studio took care of the sound post production of the TV-show pilot episode.

A very detailed sheet music was written and then integrated in Kyiv. This painstaking and demanding work reminded me of Los Angeles. Everyone was satisfied with the results, and among them your very own)),” – the composer recalls.

Soundtrack to the film-fantasy The Lord Protector: The Dark Mist is published in digital format

This film was narrated by the great Charlton Heston with an exellent acting ensemble – Olivia Hussey, Patrick Cassidy, Jay Underwood, Ron Hale, Teri Austin, Signy Coleman, William Bumiller, and others.
With the future of the world hanging in the balance, one fearless hero’s quest to solve “The Riddle of the Chosen”. As the Lord Protector makes his way through a land of magic and mystery, his allies grow stronger and his enemies more fierce. Will the Lord Protector make it to the center of evil and banish the dark forces that plot destruction, or will the power of evil overwhelm this mortal man and envelope the entire planet in a shroud of darkness and despair?
After the successful run of the blockbusters “King Arthur” and the “Game of Thrones”, a genre of fantasy movies firmly occupied the top of the charts in the world movie theaters and TVs and it’s romantic-adventure music themes have brought excitement to the listeners of the film scores.
For a composer to write a score to such a movie and bring a music surrounding to it always an enjoyment in itself, though one needs to be careful not to “borrow” few notes from Tchaikovsky or Debussy. But joking aside, all those knights fighting and magicians saving the World always demand exclusive melodies and thorough orchestral instrumentation. All of that and much more you will find by listening to this music score!
